SAMURAI design
Let me explain why my works are based on samurai.
In world image of Japan, it’s SAMURAI, NINJA , GEISHA and FUJIYAMA!
Everyone can recognize these are from Japan when they saw it.
I was looking for what is the best design is used by Urushi, because I have studied Urushi (lacquer) technique.
Then I found out art of Urushi is not only lacquer ware but also samurai armor was made by Urushi.
I’ve always interested in the way of samurai life, so I thought this is the best motif for my work.
That’s the reason why I choose samurai design in my work.
