MOMO means peach in Japanese. So, this peach-shaped helmet.
This shape is a very early type and there is an interference effect of the direct hit of the weapon.
MOMO has two color, Red and Black, but they have different faces each.
Black one’s mask is HOHO (chin-guard) which protects lower face.
Red one is KARURA mask.
迦楼羅 (KARURA) is a mythical half-bird god who is fire-breathing, and feed on dragons and serpents.
A Samurai who wears this mask, must have scared enemies.
